Hello OFE'ers!
Wanted to share the Arthur Ashe Courage Award piece I had worked on for the 2010 ESPYS. This year the family of Aplington-Parkersburg football coach Ed Thomas was given the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Ed Thomas -- known for his winning program and town leadership -- was shot by former player Mark Becker. Despite the Thomas family's loss, they have kept their bond with the Becker family and courageously shown the ability to forgive. Such a remarkable story of people coming together under inconceivable circumstances.
