OFE: St. Louis

Spent a great day at the Gateway Arch in St. Louis in May of this year - it was a sunny breezy beautiful day as Diana and I accompanied Ruby and 20 of her classmates teachers on this outing. At the very top 600 feet up into the sky, the power of the wind moves the arch in a ever so subtle sway back and forth -- making a few of the kids queasy. The designer of the Arch pushed the envelope with the construction of this piece and as I understand, given the current laws governing construction -- this Arch could not be built by today's standards. Thank you Eero Saarinen for this magnificent beauty! A few quick snapshots from the day...

Enjoy the day,

SD
